Creative Evolution: An integral exploration of personal transformation in a natural setting with Philip Walter and Matthew Krepps

Save the date now, for a 4-day intensive retreat exploring creative evolution, September 2-6, 2010 (Labor Day weekend).

Creative evolution refers to the unique human capacity to channel the energy of creation via conscious self-awareness, thereby establishing fundamental changes in the physical matrix that makes said consciousness possible.

The retreat explores a comprehensive system for addressing this process of deep transformation, a system that is historically coherent with the wisdom traditions, and at the same time accesses the forward vision of the body-mind presented by current neuroscience, psychology, and biological evolutionary theory.

This integral approach to training fully addresses the impersonal/physical, personal/mental, and inter-personal/emotional aspects of the human being, and uses conscious attention as a tool for total transformation.

Physically, we combine age-old primal movements like climbing, crawling, jumping, and lifting with the cutting-edge yoga of Prasara Body-Flow. These challenging physical movements will bring up many mental/emotional responses that will be closely examined in quiet contemplation and in open communication with others, applying conscious attention to the body, the mind, and the emotions.

This transformational alchemy applied to the human body-mind has long been recognized in the world's great wisdom traditions and expressed in concepts like the adamantine, resurrection, divine, and supraconductive bodies to name a few, for milennia. Come find your own expression of creative evolution at Circle Yoga Shala Retreat Center atop Shiloh Mountain, 12 miles from Jasper, AR, September 2-6, 2010.

TESTIMONIALS

I have found all the workshops I've attended with Matthew to be perfectly in line with my most cherished dharma, to "Question Everything". He is masterfully skillful in leading spiritually challenging inquiry, seamlessly weaving it into asana practice, then bringing the workshop attendees back to group discussion which builds a deep sense of community. Every participant is honored, and everyone has a voice, and I always come away with a renewed sense of awe in this practice we call Yoga. Lucy, E-RYT 500, St. Louis, MO.

Thank you, Matthew, for last weekend’s clinic at Jane’s House. Your instruction, conversation, and inquiry are completely engaging to each student on so many levels. In the process of our physical training, you clarify more than the plan and intention, helping us focus strongly from within, in our actions, while, at the same time, guiding us to see connections of these efforts to our personal journeys, to teaching, to broad cultural (historical, philosophical, ethical, scientific) contexts. We can all appreciate your own intense studies (physical, spiritual, scientific, etc.) as you so graciously, clearly, and generously share these with us. You help us, through yoga, reflect on our paths and priorities, on ourselves and our connections with others.
Appreciatively, Ann Canale

I have been practicing Yoga for about 6 years at Jane’s House of Well Being in St. Charles, MO. These past few years I have been fortunate to be able to attend three of Matt’s workshops at the studio. Matt has great insight on the philosophical, spiritual, and physical aspects of Yoga and teaches the methods to get on the path to discover Yoga’s true essence and ultimately the "self". His ability to blend the historical readings with the current understanding of quantum physics is captivating and always leaves me with the burning desire to want to learn more. I have noticed, whether a coincidence or not, that his topics of discussion are in sync with my current “level” of practice. This has helped me tremendously to develop a deeper and richer practice that is not just based upon the physical. A great teacher, in any profession, is one who makes sure the message is more important then the ego. This has been my experience with Matt and his Workshops – Message First! Gary B.
